    “Intervals II” Has Arrived

Wait, another new course?! You bet. “Intervals I” was released just one month ago, and now it’s time to complete the picture. We’re happy to announce that “Intervals II” is available today in Waay.

So what’s this new course all about?

    • Qualities. You’ve learned five interval qualities: major, minor, perfect, diminished, and augmented. And they’re all connected in a way you might not expect…
    • Enharmonics. A note can have several different names, like B♭ and A♯. But what happens when we add a couple new accidentals to the mix?
    • Compound Intervals. Now that you’ve learned interval sizes from 1 to 7, it’s time to go even higher! Lots of musical examples for this one.
    • Transposition. What if we absolutely love a song, but it’s not in the right key for us to play or perform? Let’s solve this problem once and for all.

Just like always, expect lots of musical examples, practical exercises, and above all: a genuine desire to teach you important, practical topics in a way that works. (And without all the weird tracking and personal-data-collecting stuff that goes into many apps!)

“Intervals II” is available today for all paid Waay users. Just head over to the App Store to update Waay, and then tap “Courses” in the sidebar.

If this is your first time hearing about Waay, here’s some feedback from one of our users:

So grateful I found this app! (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️). It’s been about 20 years since I last studied music theory, and recently found myself writing songs for the first time in about that long too. Really needed a refresher course and Waay has been perfect! It breaks down everything really simply, which is not easy to do with something as complex as music theory, and the practice games are great for making sure you’re absorbing everything and improving your skills. If you need a music theory refresher I cannot recommend this app enough!”
