New Course for Waay Now Available

You start writing a chord progression and it’s going well… but then you get stuck.

    What chord comes next?

Waay’s newest course, Progressions, uses this question as a springboard into an exciting array of topics. Here’s what you’ll learn:

    • Many different methods for extracting the key of a progression fast
    • How to shortlist possible chords that will complete a progression
    • How to use your musical judgment to make the right choice for your music

Along the way, you’ll also learn about “ii V” progressions, a new interval, choosing the right accidentals, and more. By the time you finish the course, you’ll be able to complete (I’m not exaggerating) over 2200 different chord progressions in a snap.

I’ve written the curriculum and lessons based on years of one-on-one, in-person teaching experience. It’s my goal to bring that same level of care and respect to students through the Waay platform.

In addition to writing the material, I’ve personally created (and narrated) the videos, composed the musical examples, and coded the app from scratch—all with the student first in mind. That also means no ads, no sneaky data collection, no user tracking… no shady stuff, period. Just music theory.

Waay is about practical music theory—stuff you can take straight to your instrument and use—and the new Progressions course doesn’t disappoint. Our new course is available today as an in-app purchase within Waay.
